Change your Pace

Many folks have come by the store seeking out the white hennessy, in which I inform them the closest place to get white hennessy is about 75 miles away from the store. A fast boat will get you to Freeport Bahamas which have white hennessy. In the mean time, you may want to try Pisco Porton.

OK, I know, this isn't a cognac, but if you're looking for an interesting change of pace, Pisco Porton is the way to go. Distilled from grapes, pisco is closer to grappa or eau-de-vie, and on its own I find the flavor to be fruitier. In a mixed drink, such as the Pisco Sour, a daiquiri or mojito it makes the cocktail vibrant and tangy. Pisco will work well in any mixed cocktail or just neat on the rocks.

I'm not an expert on piscos, but my favorite right now is Porton -- it's delicate in some respects, almost floral in its tropical sweetness, while at the same time delivering quite a lot of peppery spice.

Pisco is from Peru. For over 300 years, Peruvians have been making Pisco. The Liquor Cabinet, West Palm Beach, Florida has Pisco on the shelf for $42.99 plus sales tax. For followers of our blogs, the price is $39.99 plus tax. Hope to see you soon.
